As part of the methodological week on November 25, 2022, the Department of  «Energy, Automation and Computer Engineering» held a round table on the topic: «Digital technologies in education». which was attended by students of the 2nd, 3rd courses of the Faculty of Engineering and Humanities and their teachers of the department Kairanbayeva A.B., Shalabaeva I.A., Sarguzhieva B.A.

The event was opened by the head of the Department of “Electric Power, Automation and Computer Engineering”, PhD, Associate Professor Viktor P. Zakharov, who addressed the participants of the round table with a welcoming speech and stressed that modern socio-economic conditions, modernization of education affect the system of requirements for modern teachers and students. He also noted that now is an important moment for rethinking all changes in society, in particular, through the prism of education. Society is changing faster than previously expected, in particular, it concerns the pace of digital and technological transformation. He wished the participants of the round table a successful performance and success in their studies.

Responsible teacher in conducting the round table is senior lecturer of the Department of Energy, Automation and Computer Engineering, Master of Technical Sciences Kairanbayeva Albina Berikkalievna.

The participants of the round table received the necessary useful information about new modern information technologies. Thus, the participants of the round table discussed the possibilities of digital technologies, including in education, noted that digital technologies in education make it possible to improve the quality of education and realize the cognitive, creative activity of students. The participants of the round table made prepared presentations on the topic in three languages.

The relevance of the round table was due to new approaches and requirements for the organization of the pedagogical process in modern educational organizations.

Purpose: The round table was held in order to develop the skills of conducting scientific discussions among students; to discuss the mechanisms of development of the digital educational environment.
