New reform program of the Republic of Kazakhstan

The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, K.K. Tokayev, proved himself as a true leader and a worthy son of his people in difficult days for the country. Thanks to his will and courage, we were able to overcome the crisis and unite into a single nation.

No less courageous is the President’s decision to take measures to overcome the consequences of the crisis, eliminate the causes and reasons for the split of society, create conditions for national and social consolidation.

Speaking in the Parliament of the country K-Zh.K. Tokayev identified a number of directions and principles of modernization of Kazakhstan’s society, which are, in fact, a large-scale program for the development of the country.

I would like to draw attention to a number of provisions of the President’s speech.

Firstly, much attention is paid to the macroeconomic regulation of the economy.

Issues of pricing, inflation, the exchange rate of the national currency, consumer lending should become the main focus of state economic policy.

The system of economic management, and above all, the quasi-public sector, will be reorganized.

The President demanded maximum transparency and control in the provision of state support and lending, privatization, public procurement, withdrawal of funds abroad.

Economic diversification is the most important national task, the main focus of this work is the development of the manufacturing industry.

The President also paid attention to the food security of the country, which is directly related to agriculture in Kazakhstan.

K-Zh.K. Tokayev fundamentally raised the question of the social and national responsibility of big business, oligarchs, who enjoyed broad support from the state during the formation of market relations, and now must ensure the strengthening of the country’s social sphere.

The measures proposed by the President are the economic basis of our sovereignty and statehood, the guarantee of sustainable development, the future of our people.

Secondly, the President did not hide and hush up issues related to insufficiently thought-out or low-efficiency solutions and projects, and gave specific instructions on LRT, recycling collection, customs.

We must overcome the mistakes we have made ourselves and free ourselves from the burden of the past.

Thirdly, the President paid serious attention to social issues that are closely related to the development of the national economic complex.

The creation of jobs, social protection of citizens, a program to increase incomes of the population, the de-bureaucratization of management, the development of education, political modernization should become the basis for the consolidation of our society, the inseparable unity of the state and the people.

The staff of the West Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Technology, as well as the entire people of Kazakhstan, supports the decisions of our President and will take full part in their implementation.

The University is the largest multidisciplinary university in the region, providing quality education.

Graduates of our pedagogical faculty make up a significant part of the teaching community of the region. Fruitful cooperation is developing with schools and educational institutions on the introduction of updated educational content, methodological support, digitalization, and personality-oriented learning. The modern system of knowledge and pedagogical technologies requires continuous updating and we must put our cooperation with schools in the field of advanced training and additional training on a permanent basis. The teacher is the heart of the school, and a modern teacher should be a teacher not only by position, but above all, by virtue of knowledge, skills to always learn and create new knowledge. I am sure that our research and teaching staff will cope with this task.

Graduates of our technical specialties occupy key positions in the oil and gas industry, transport, construction, telecommunications of our region. These achievements are based on the developed material and technical base of the university, experienced engineering personnel and close cooperation with leading foreign universities. We are ready to assist in the opening of new technical universities and are confident that this creates new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation in training personnel for the industrial development of Kazakhstan.

Today, every person should ask himself what he can do for our people and make every effort to ensure that Kazakhstan becomes a developed and prosperous country!
