From October 1 to November 1, the “Month of Mercy” is held everywhere in Kazakhstan, this is a charity event to help the elderly, veterans, the disabled and the poor. The history of this action begins in 1991, when, by decision of the UN General Assembly, October 1 was proclaimed the “International Day of Older Persons”.

The action, held within the framework of this “Month of Mercy”, was also attended by teachers of the Department of “Natural Science Disciplines” of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technological University, Faculty of Pedagogy. They brought food to two low-income families in the city of Uralsk. Both families rent apartments and are unemployed. 1st family – single father (disabled) raising 5 children, 2nd family – mother (disabled) with two children (1 disabled child).
