On October 20-21, 2025, a foresight session was held at the West Kazakhstan University named after M. Utemisov as part of the state program “My Profession – My Future.” The session focused on developing a regional map of workforce needs for the West Kazakhstan region.

The event aimed to align supply and demand in the regional labor market, plan workforce capacity, and improve the quality of specialist training.

Participants included representatives from educational institutions, manufacturing enterprises, businesses, government bodies, as well as industry experts and university lecturers from Uralsk. During the session, workforce needs across various sectors of the region were analyzed, and priority areas for specialist training were identified.

Senior Lecturer of the Department of Veterinary and Technosphere Safety, M.M. Utarova, actively participated, proposing initiatives to strengthen workforce training and update educational programs in biotechnology and food security.

At the conclusion of the foresight session, all participants were awarded certificates recognizing their contributions.

These initiatives aimed at enhancing the workforce potential of the West Kazakhstan region, promoting sustainable regional development, and improving food security and production quality, undoubtedly make a significant contribution to the region’s future.
