On the 7th of April 2026, the Department of General Education Disciplines of Industrial Technology Institute organised and held a student scientific and practical conference on the theme ‘The works of Academician K.I. Satpaev – the foundation for the sustainable development of domestic science and education’, dedicated to the Day of Science Workers of the Republic of Kazakhstan.  The conference purpose was to enhance the professional skills of lecturers and to engage students in science.

The conference moderator, Professor of the Department of General Education Kadyrgaliyev N.M., spoke with a welcoming speech.  This was followed by a presentation entitled ‘The scientific potential of the university: the contribution of lecturers and students’ by Professor, Doctor of Chemical Sciences Burakhta V.A., congratulating her colleagues and students on the Day of Science Workers of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 

The conference was attended by 1st and 2-year students from the educational programmes ‘Architecture’, ‘Automation and Control’, ‘Transport Organisation and exploitation’, ‘Electrical Power Engineering’ and others.

At the end of the conference, the Chair of the WKITU Council of Young Scientists and Head of the Department of General Education Disciplines, Kurmanova Zh.B., took the floor. She noted the students’ thorough preparation, remarked that the conference presentations were substantive, and wished the students success in their studies. The event took place smoothly and in a friendly atmosphere, and an exhibition of new books was organised.
