An important event for the staff and students of our university took place today — a meeting of the faculty of the West Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Technology and the leadership of the Department of Justice of the West Kazakhstan region, organized by the Department of Law.
The meeting began with a welcoming speech by the rector of WKITU Bekbolat Temirzhanovich Shakeshev.
Aliya Anesovna Tasybayeva, Head of the Department of Justice of the West Kazakhstan region, expressed gratitude to the faculty and students for their interest and desire to cooperate in the field of law and order and legislation. Representatives of the department invited students enrolled in the 6B04202 “Jurisprudence” educational program to complete an internship at the department, noting that service in the justice system would be a worthy choice for their future professional careers.
During the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Department of Justice of the West Kazakhstan region and the University. This agreement marked the strengthening of the partnership between the department and the university in the field of training and support for future law enforcement officers. The purpose of the memorandum is to develop partnerships in the field of training qualified specialists, exchange of experience and practical application of acquired knowledge by law students.
The Memorandum provides for cooperation in the following areas::
- joint research, exchange and publication of materials;
- joint organization and holding of symposiums, seminars, scientific and practical conferences, round tables, teleconferences and other events;
- students’ practical training;
- joint development of educational and methodological literature;
- attracting highly qualified specialists to deliver individual courses of lectures and conduct final certification in the university’s educational programs;
- conducting practice-oriented classes on the basis of the department;
- organization of professional practice and scientific internships for students and undergraduates;
- Informing the public about the joint activities under this memorandum through the mass media.
In addition, it is planned to create joint working and consulting groups, as well as a legal clinic at the university.
Aigul Kazybaevna Bozymova, the founder of WKITU, noted that the memorandum with the Department of Justice marks the beginning of a long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation aimed at the development of our country.
The successful conclusion of the meeting left a pleasant impression on both sides. The University students felt the support and interest of the Department’s staff, and the Department’s representatives expressed their admiration for the youth’s activity and commitment to improving legal literacy.
