A methodological week on the topic “Digitalization of education: Challenges of modernity” was organized at the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University from November 21-25, 2022. 

As part of the methodological week on November 24, 2022, a training for teachers on the topic “Digital tools in assessing students’ knowledge” was held at the Faculty of Engineering and Humanities in order to improve the teaching methods of disciplines using innovative teaching tools.

The purpose of the training is the effective use of digital means of knowledge control and testing in teaching, the adaptation of the higher education system to the digital generation, thereby allowing, with the help of a teacher, to gain knowledge using a modern device: a computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.

16 university teachers took part in the training.

The head of the training is a senior lecturer of the Department of Energy, Automation and Computer Engineering, Master of Technical Sciences Utesheva Gulnara Shaukatovna.

During the training, teachers got acquainted with the Google cloud Internet service, learned how to create and work with Google forms, in particular, use them when assessing students’ knowledge.

Google Forms are a type of documents available on the Google platform. Having learned how to work with Google forms, teachers can create an unlimited number of surveys, tests and invite an unlimited number of respondents.  Materials can be exported to various formats (pdf, xls, txt).

The participants took part in the training with interest and shared their impressions.
