Today, a significant meeting aimed at developing cooperation with higher education institutions of Estonia was held at West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University. The purpose of the event was to strengthen mutual relations between universities of the two countries, implement joint projects, and determine the directions for integrating modern technologies into the educational process.
The meeting was attended by Jaap Ora, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Estonia to the Republic of Kazakhstan; Gerri Lesk, First Secretary of the Embassy of Estonia; Akbota Sarzhanova, Coordinator for Business and Public Diplomacy; Arkadiy Rubtsov, Honorary Consul of Estonia in Uralsk; as well as Makhambet Amantaiuly Sultangaliev, Director of the West Kazakhstan Center for Information Technologies.
During the event, the parties thoroughly discussed the following areas of cooperation:
- development of joint educational programs,
- implementation of scientific research projects,
- expansion of academic mobility of faculty and students,
- implementation of joint initiatives in the field of artificial intelligence.
The discussions also focused on the responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence in education, the development of digital competencies, and the creation of a scientific ecosystem in accordance with international standards. It was emphasized that this partnership would contribute to improving the quality of higher education in the region.

as well as heads of departments.
As a result of the meeting, both sides expressed mutual interest in deepening long-term cooperation.
This event became an important step not only in expanding WKITU’s international partnership network, but also in advancing science and education in the field of artificial intelligence in line with global trends.
