On September 29, 2026, an educational tour was organized at the Information and Educational Resource Center of our university for first-year students of the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering.

The main purpose of the event was to develop students’ skills in working with scientific literature, familiarize them with the library resources, and develop their ability to independently search for and effectively use the necessary information.

During the event, the students visited the university library’s reading rooms, explored its book collection, and became familiar with electronic information resources. They were introduced to methods of searching for and selecting scientific literature, working with the library catalogue, and using information sources relevant to their field of study.

The event contributed to increasing students’ interest in research activities, improving their independent learning skills, and developing their ability to effectively use library resources. It also helped to develop the competencies necessary for working with scientific information in their future professional activities.
