On the 29th of July following the results of the IV stage of the Kazakhstan Chess Cup “Uralsk Open 2023” – 4th stage of Kazakhstan Cup Category “B”, in which athletes from the USA, Russia, India and Belarus took part, Nurbulat Mendygalievich showed the best result among veterans and was awarded a certificate and cash prize.

On the 4th of August Nurbulat Mendygalievich took the 1st place and showed an absolute 100% result (7:7) in the III Regional Chess Spartakiad among veterans. Twelve regions of West Kazakhstan oblast took part in the competition.

On the 15th of August the Mayor of Uralsk city Satkanov M.M. presented a congratulatory letter to Nurbulat Mendygalievich for his significant contribution to the development of society and sports.
