On October 23, 2025, the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Technosphere Safety hosted an advisory hour on the theme “Youth of an independent country”, dedicated to one of the most important public holidays – the Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event was attended by students of 1-2 courses of the educational programs 6B11201–Life safety and environmental protection, 6B07205–Technology and food safety, 6B09103–Veterinary medicine.

The purpose of the advisory hour is to increase the patriotic spirit of students, foster love for the Motherland, realize the importance of independence ideas and educate young people in the spirit of patriotism and civic responsibility.

During the event, students of the educational program 6B07205–Technology and food safety Asylbekkyzy K. and Omarov S. made informative presentations in which they revealed the historical and spiritual significance of the holiday. The participants got acquainted with the main stages of gaining independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the achievements of the country over the years of sovereignty, and also discussed the importance of Republic Day as a public holiday. The students took part in a quiz and watched a video dedicated to the history of the holiday.

At the end of the event, the participants shared their impressions and opinions on the contribution of youth to the development of the country. Such educational meetings contribute to strengthening students’ civic engagement, developing patriotic feelings, as well as promoting national unity and spiritual integrity.
