The WorldSkills Lyon 2024 International Championship of Professional Skills was held in Lyon, France. WorldSkills International is the largest competition dedicated to the development of professional skills among young professionals under 25 years of age. The main goal of the championship is to popularize working professions and attract young people to such fields as technology, engineering, construction and IT.

This year, about 1,500 contestants from 69 countries participated in WorldSkills Lyon 2024, among which our country was represented by 32 participants and 30 international experts in 30 competencies. Among these contestants was Ruslan Yusupov, a 2nd year student of the educational program “Computer Engineering and Information Systems” of the West Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Technology.

Ruslan Yusupov demonstrated outstanding success by showing excellent skills in the “Web Technologies” nomination and taking fourth place, losing to participants from Hungary, Korea and Singapore. This achievement not only highlights Ruslan’s high level of training, but also testifies to the growing potential of young specialists from Kazakhstan in the international arena.

His result has become a source of inspiration for many students and young professionals, demonstrating that perseverance and dedication can lead to high achievements. Participation in such a prestigious competition opens up new horizons and opportunities for Ruslan and his colleagues, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of modern technologies.

A key aspect of the WorldSkills championship is not only competition, but also the creation of a community of like-minded people who strive to develop their skills and introduce innovations into their professions. Ruslan plans to continue to develop in his field, and his success will be an incentive to participate in future international competitions.

Thus, WorldSkills Lyon 2024 not only emphasized the importance of professional skills, but also strengthened ties between young professionals from different countries, which ultimately contributes to the development of the global economy and improving the quality of vocational education.
