On September 30, 2026, for students of the “Veterinary Medicine” educational program 6B09103, Professor Kanatbayev S. G. of the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Food Technology conducted a practice‑oriented lesson at the Akas agricultural firm in the Chagan rural district of the Terekty district. First, the students were explained the rules of personal safety when working with animals in order to avoid various injuries. During the lesson, the students were explained and shown how blood is taken from cattle to test for brucellosis and how the rabies vaccine is administered. Together with the veterinarian from the Akas agricultural company and the veterinarians at the veterinary station in the Chagan rural district, blood was obtained from 210 heads of Kazakh white‑headed cows bred for meat production, and they were vaccinated to prevent rabies. In addition, the students were provided with information about the importance of preventive measures and timely diagnostic activities to combat this particularly dangerous disease.
