In accordance with the educational plan for the RYaL-421 group under the 6B01703 – Russian Language and Literature in Schools with a Non-Russian Language of teaching program, senior lecturer Muratova A.S. held an advisory hour in the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation Studies. The hour was dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event was designed to foster patriotic awareness among students, promote respect for the country’s history and culture, and foster a sense of pride in Independence and the National heroes of Kazakhstan. The event began with welcoming remarks from advisor Muratova A.S. and the presenters in Kazakh and Russian, emphasizing the multinational nature of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan was then played, creating a festive atmosphere of unity and civic responsibility. During the advisory hour, students recited patriotic poems reflecting their love for their native land, spiritual values, and the historical memory of the people. Particular attention was paid to the concept of “Tört Ana” as a symbol of national identity, language, culture, and native land. The advisor described the historical stages of independence, the adoption of the Constitutional Law “On the State Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan” on December 16, 1991, and the significance of this event for modern Kazakhstan.
Particular emphasis was placed on the National Liberation Movements and the events of Zheltoksan in 1986, which played a significant role in shaping the national identity of young people. The material was accompanied by a presentation, which facilitated a visual understanding of historical information.
The advisory hour concluded with an interactive quiz, during which students actively answered questions, demonstrating their knowledge of the history of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, state symbols, and national heroes. Participants who showed activity were rewarded with memorable gifts.
