 Dear Colleagues!

On April 4-5, 2023, the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is holding the INTERNATIONAL FARABI FORUM “THE PHILOSOPHY OF LANGUAGE AND THE LANGUAGE OF PHILOSOPHY OF ABU NASR AL-FARABI”.

In the history of culture of the peoples of Central Asia, Kazakhstan and the entire East, in the history of world science and culture, an important place belongs to the great thinker and philosopher-encyclopedist Abu Nasr Muhammad Ibn Muhammad Ibn Tarkhan ibn Uzlag al-Farabi at-Turki (870-950 ).

International Farabi Forum “THE PHILOSOPHY OF LANGUAGE AND LANGUAGE OF PHILOSOPHY OF ABU NASR AL-FARABI” is intended to unite domestic and foreign scientists studying the heritage of al-Farabi; to become a new platform for dialogue and cooperation between the world’s leading scientists. The main goal of the event is to comprehend the spiritual, historical and philosophical foundations of the development of modern society through the prism of the rich heritage of al-Farabi.

The Farabi Forum participants will discuss a wide range of topical issues related to the integration of science and education, the improvement of the spiritual, moral and intellectual culture of modern society. Within the framework of the sections, issues of the philosophy of language in the works of al-Farabi, the logical-linguistic relationship in the formation of judgments, the connection of “external speech” with logic through the prism of research on the language of philosophy in the works of Abu Nasr al-Farabi will be considered. Within the framework of the forum, the philosophy of language of al-Farabi is substantiated as a research area in which the relationship between thinking and language is not simply analyzed, but the communicative role of language, words and speech is revealed, various forms of discourse in the knowledge of intelligible entities are defined, the language of philosophy is presented as a terminological construct of philosophical categories in Arabic.

The main areas of work of the International Farabi Forum:

• Philosophy of a language and specifics of intercultural communication (04.05.2023);
• Abu Nasr Al-Farabi’s language of philosophy: the peculiarities of the translation of
• medieval texts (04.05.2023);
• Linguistic and cultural issues of translation (05.05.2023);
• The language of sacred texts: socio-cultural aspects of theolinguistics (05.05.2023);
• Linguistic thesaurus of the original language and translation in modern science (05.05.2023).

We ask you to confirm your participation in the international Farabi Forum until March 20, 2023 by filling out the Participant Questionnaire® REGISTRATION . ( In order to complete the Participant Questionnaire, you must be logged into your gmail account)

By March 27, 2023, you must send the text of the report/article at the link® UPLOAD FILE .

The report submitted to the forum should disclose the relevance and results of scientific research, and practical significance. Based on the results of the participants’ presentations, it is planned to publish a scientific collection.
