The anniversary event dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Bulat Tursunbayevich Utegenov, senior lecturer of the Department of Architecture and Construction, Honorary Architect of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the former chief architect of the city of Uralsk, was held in the conference hall of the West Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Technology.

The event was attended by Bozymov Kazybay Karayevich, Vice President of the Union of Architects of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arkinzhan Akhmetzhanovich Mametov, Deputy Head of the Municipal State Institution “Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of Uralsk” Arman Muratovich Musagaliev, faculty members of the department, as well as family members and close friends.

Warm congratulations were also extended by the Chair of the West Kazakhstan Regional Union of Architects Mayra Gumarovna Sarsengaliyeva, employees of the city akimat, colleagues, and grateful students.

During the event, the participants were reminded of the jubilee’s long-term contribution to the development of the architectural appearance of Uralsk and the region. The key stages of his professional activity, landmark projects and architectural solutions that shaped the modern urban landscape were highlighted. Special attention was paid to his role as a mentor and teacher who trained young professionals.

The university administration highly appreciated his contribution to the development of the architectural school, emphasized the importance of his work and expressed gratitude for preserving the cultural heritage of the city and welcoming the younger generation. Vice President of the Union of Architects of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Arkinzhan Akhmetzhanovich Mamatov, congratulated the celebrant and presented him with the Golden Diploma of the Union of Architects of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Akimat staff noted the effectiveness of long-term cooperation, talked about the impact of architectural solutions of the hero of the day on the development of urban infrastructure and improving the quality of the urban environment.

At the end of the meeting, memorable gifts and letters of thanks were presented. Also, an exhibition of projects was organized, most of which have been implemented and pleases many citizens. From the video, the guests learned about the amazing creative life of Bulat Tursunbayevich!
