In accordance with the educational work plan, on November 10, the Department of Law held a round table titled “Shokany bar eldin – shoktygy biik” (“The Nation that Has Shokan Stands Tall”), dedicated to the 190th anniversary of the birth of the scholar, politician, geographer, and great son of the Kazakh people — Shokan Ualikhanov.

During the event, participants discussed in detail Shokan Ualikhanov’s contributions to the Kazakh people, his scientific research, works, and his service as a sultan.

As part of the patriotic education of young people, the participants watched excerpts from two films dedicated to the life of Shokan Ualikhanov. It can be said with confidence that the round table successfully fulfilled its objectives and achieved its purpose.

We are confident that the life and work of this great scholar will serve as an inspiring example for students, as they showed great interest and asked many thoughtful questions.
