On November 12, 2025, an open lecture was held by Professor Kanatbayev S.G., Doctor of Biological Sciences, Department of Veterinary Medicine and Technosphere Safety, for students of the Vet-41 O and Vet-42 O educational programs in the field of veterinary medicine. The topic of the lecture was “Measures for the Prevention and Control of Anthrax in Farm Animals.” During the class, a comprehensive description of the anthrax disease in farm animals was provided, focusing on its main clinical signs, discussing the pathological changes that occur in the death of livestock, and providing valuable information on prevention and control measures. In addition, there is reliable information about 2,000 permanently affected settlements in the Republic of Kazakhstan and more than 2,000 anthrax foci and burial sites, as well as the fact that cases of anthrax infection in farm animals, human transmission, and, unfortunately, human deaths are reported annually in several regions. The role of veterinary professionals in combating this infection is crucial for ensuring public health and agricultural sustainability.
