On the 4th of March 2023 the Department of General Education Disciplines of Engineering and Humanitarian Faculty at WKITU organized and conducted the chess tournament “Nauryz Chess-2023”. The tournament was attended by schoolchildren of 8-11 grades of secondary schools of Uralsk city, NISH, FMS, school-lyceum, Michurinskaya and Trekinskaya secondary school. This event purpose is career guidance work, acquaintance with the Engineering and Humanitarian Faculty. Among young chess players are the city and regional champions. According to the results of the chess tournament, the jury allocated the following places and nominations:

II place – Anokhin Vladimir, 11th grade of secondary school № 7
III place – Fedotova Mariуa, 11th grade of secondary school № 6
Best young chess player – Galimzhan Daniyar, 5th grade Trekinskaya secondary school №1
Best young chess player – Tursynova Aisha, 9th grade secondary school №14
