On November 12, 2025, a practical seminar was held at the Department of History and Law on the topic “Innovative Methods of Teaching World History in Schools (Based on the State of Japan in Modern Times)”. The seminar was conducted by: Aliya Ermekovna Bizhanova– Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department.
During the seminar, the key principles of methodological training were considered. The main teaching methods used in school by future history teachers are presented. Examples of successful use of these tools in teaching world history are discussed. The participants joined groups and completed the tasks: they answered the quiz questions using a QR code to increase interactivity, accessibility and engagement. During the discussion, the participants noted the relevance of the proposed methods and expressed their willingness to implement them in their teaching practice.
The seminar was held at a high level. The participants received theoretical knowledge about the methods of teaching world history and practical skills of their application in their work, as well as recommendations for further use. The feedback from the participants was based on the “Speaker Dialogue” method, where most of the students noted that the practical seminar was useful, informative and inspiring. Of particular value was the possibility of practical application of methods and the exchange of experience with colleagues. According to the results of the quiz, pleasant sweet prizes were awarded among the participants of the seminar.
