The Research Center carries out its activities in the field of fundamental and applied scientific research in accordance with the main directions of scientific research of the university, approved by the Academic Council, Cooperation Agreements with universities, research centers, public funds, associations, consulting companies and agricultural producers.
The Research Center for Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology is a structural subdivision of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University.
The activities of the Research Center are aimed at carrying out scientific, scientific, technical and innovative activities, as well as conducting research and development work.
The purpose of the research center is to organize, methodological support and ensure the effectiveness of scientific, scientific, practical and innovative activities in the field of veterinary medicine and biotechnology.
The subject of the Center’s activities is the conduct of research / scientific and educational work, consulting and other types of services in the following main areas: veterinary medicine, biotechnology, life safety and environmental protection, ecology.
The tasks of the research center are:
1. Organization of teaching theory and methods in the above areas.
2. Organization of self-supporting research in the above areas.
3. Organization and holding of conferences, round tables and seminars on topical issues of veterinary medicine, biotechnology and ecology.
4. Ensuring explanatory work with ministries, departments, local governments, akimats, regional departments, the population in the field of veterinary medicine, biotechnology, life safety and environmental protection, ecology.
5. Organization of small industries and intermediary services for the release of educational information tools in the above-named, related and other areas.
6. Implementation of a set of measures to attract young people to research activities.
Functions of the research center:
1. Provision of services to the departments of the university within its field of activity and presentation of information on the results of research in the prescribed manner.
2. Coordination of work under economic contracts with enterprises and organizations for the development and transfer of research work.
3. Development of promising forms of scientific cooperation with educational institutions, organizations and enterprises in order to conduct joint research.
4. Provision of services of scientific, technical and scientific and methodological experimental base for educational programs of the university.
5. Provision of consulting services for research and production and innovation activities.
6. Improving the quality of training of specialists by coordinating the implementation and use of research results in the educational process.
7. Organization of reporting, scientific and technical information to higher R&D bodies.
8. Organization of training courses for students for professional certification in veterinary medicine.
