Presentation at a meeting on the strategy for regulating the number of the Ural saiga population in the regional akimat with the participation of Deputy Chairman of Forestry and Wildlife E.N. Kutpanbaev and Head of Okhotzooprom of the Republic of Kazakhstan R.Ya.Tlevlesov, on the topic “Veterinary risks associated with excessive growth of the saiga population”.
On March 31 of this year, a seminar– meeting on “Measures to combat brucellosis in animals” was held in the veterinary department of the West Kazakhstan Region under the chairmanship of the head of the department, A. S. Beraliev. In his opening remarks, the head of the department reported on the incidence of brucellosis in animals in the region.
The seminar-meeting was held with the participation of employees of the regional veterinary department, directors of district veterinary stations, employees of the territorial inspectorate of the West Kazakhstan Region and the regional veterinary laboratory, as well as specialists from the branch of the Republican Antiepizootic squad in the West Kazakhstan region.
At the seminar-meeting, the chief researcher of the Kazakh Scientific Research Institute of Veterinary Medicine in Astana, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, Professor Aspen Abutalip made a presentation, who acquainted the participants with the history of the disease and the conditions of its spread of brucellosis in the country, ways of organizing veterinary measures to protect people and animals from the disease.
The meeting was attended by the Director of the Scientific Research Center “Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology” of the West Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Technology, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, Professor Absatirov G.G., Head of the West Kazakhstan Scientific Research Veterinary Station, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Kanatbaev S.G., head of the branch of the RSU “Republican Antiepizootic Squad” in the West Kazakhstan region, A.K. Khayretdinov, who expressed his suggestions for organizing measures to combat brucellosis in animals.
During the workshop, a number of problematic issues related to the control of brucellosis in farm animals and ways to solve them were discussed.
