The educational program 6B07301 Architecture corresponds to the mission of the university, the established educational goals and was developed on the basis of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Education” dated July 27, 2007 No. 319-III ZRK (with amendments and additions as of April 20, 2023). In the field of training, the goal of the educational program 6B07301 Architecture is the implementation of the Professional Standards of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken”, as well as current regulatory documents of the RK, and the preparation of bachelors of advanced professional education, allowing graduates to successfully work in their chosen field of activity, have universal, subject-specialized competencies that contribute to their social mobility, stability in the labor market. The educational program provides for students to choose their field of study in one of the two following specializations: “Architecture of residential and public buildings” or “Architectural design”. In order to study the interests of employers, meetings and round tables with the participation of stakeholders are regularly held during the academic year. Taking into account the interests of employers, educational trajectories and corresponding elective disciplines were introduced in order to deepen the professional training of graduates. Employers are regularly surveyed, meetings and conversations are held with them, where comments and suggestions are made for improving further work. Questionnaire questions are discussed at department meetings, as a result of which new elective courses are developed taking into account the wishes and suggestions of stakeholders.

Academic Committees are actively functioning at ZKITU for the purpose of high-quality development of bachelor’s and master’s degree educational programs, ensuring continuous updating of their content. Academic Committees are formed by including leading scientists, practitioners in the areas of training, students and employers.

In order to provide educational programs with relevant content, the lists of basic and specialized, elective and compulsory disciplines, practices are systematically revised and supplemented. The implemented courses are based on employers’ recommendations and the results of scientific research by the department’s teaching staff.

Educational programs are updated annually by up to 30%, taking into account the interests of the labor market. Targeted implementation of the Quality Policy, the University Development Program and related changes have a positive effect on the image of the university and its educational programs.

During the revision of the educational program for the 2024-2025 academic year, the following additions and changes were made to it:

• the head of the design company TOO “Kumbez” Imangaliev N.U. proposed to include in the content of the discipline “Energy-efficient design of civil buildings” the topic “Design based on modern heat-insulating materials”, which is relevant today;
• the director of the design company TOO “Uralvodproekt” Temirbaev Zh.K. proposed to include in the content of the discipline “Engineering systems of buildings and structures” the topic “Modern engineering networks, equipment of structures and ventilation elements that provide an influx of clean air into the building, its purification, heating, ionization, cooling or dehumidification”.
• Head of the Department of Architecture, Urban Development and Construction of the Construction Department of the West Kazakhstan Region, E.N. Yesimov, proposed including the topic of “Development of standard projects while preserving national character” in the content of the discipline “Architectural typology of civil buildings”.
