On 02.21.2024, the first lesson of the course “Fundamentals of Nutritionology and methods of Art Therapy” was held at the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University for students of the Silver University on the topic “Theoretical foundations of Nutritionology”, organized by the center for retraining, advanced training and additional education. This is one of the first courses held within the framework of the Silver University. This course was attended by students over the age of 60. The course was conducted by the Master of Pedagogical Sciences, senior lecturer G.A. Zhumagulova. The aim of the course is to develop proper nutrition skills in elderly people using art therapy methods. During the lesson, such issues as the definition of the concepts of “nutritionology”, “proper nutrition”, “eating behavior” were considered. Also, such art-therapeutic methods and techniques as “metaphorical balls”, exercises from painting therapy, mandalotherapy were used in working with the audience. There was a trusting relationship in the group, the listeners openly talked about their food preferences and their attitude to the issue of healthy eating. At the end of the lesson, a reflection was carried out – the listeners gave feedback on the leaflets, those who wished spoke their thoughts in front of the group. The course has a continuation.
