The Department of Technique and Technology is a graduate and prepares bachelors in the following educational programs: 6B07102-Electric power engineering; 6B07101-Transport, transport equipment and Technologies; 6B11301-Organization of transportation, movement and operation of transport; 6B07104 – Technological machines and equipment; 6B06103-Computer technology and software; 6B06102-Information systems; 6B06104-Computer Technology and information systems; 6B07105-Automation and management (by industry).
The department employs 26 full-time teachers, including: PhD-3, PhD-9, associate professors-12, Masters of Science-8.
The average age of the teaching staff is 48 years. All teachers conduct classes with appropriate special education. Professors, doctors of technical sciences from foreign universities, specialized specialists from production are invited annually to give lectures on special disciplines.
The teaching staff of the department constantly improves their qualifications by participating in various courses, training seminars, master classes, attending open classes of leading teachers of the department and the university.
For the high-quality organization of the educational process, 3 educational laboratories and 6 specialized classrooms have been created and operate at the department.
The department provides educational and industrial practices for students. The main bases of production practices are the leading enterprises of the region, such as: KPO B. V., Batys-Energon LLP, IT GROUP Kazakhstan LLP, Uralskneftegazgeologiya JSC, Intergaz Central Asia JSC, Zap. Kaz JSC. REC”, UV LLP “BIPEK AUTO Kazakhstan”, ZKOF LLP “Kazavtodor”, etc.
The teaching staff of the department is actively engaged in scientific work, participating in various scientific conferences, seminars, presentations outside the University. Over the past 3 years, the teaching staff of the department has published more than 60 scientific articles and theses, received 4 patents, and written 5 scientific reports on fundamental and contractual topics.
The department has a scientific student society (NSO) and scientific and student circles, where more than 110 students of 1-4 courses are engaged in scientific work.
Under the guidance of the faculty of the department, students successfully present scientific works at International, national competitions such as: the competition of the Research Institute of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, “Young Scientist”, “ZIAT”, “The best innovative project of a student”. Results of work for the 2020-2021 academic year: I place at the Russian Republican competition of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (V. S. Goryunov, 3rd-year student of OP 6B07101-Transport, transport equipment and technologies)
Along with educational and scientific work, the department also conducts educational work with students. Under the guidance of group mentors, students actively participate in cultural and sports and educational events held at the university, such as “Health Day”, “Freshman Day”, “Day of Languages”, “Golden Autumn”, “Nauryz-Spring Holiday”. In 2021, the 2nd-year student of OP 6B07102 – Electric Power Engineering Dauletiyarov A.M. took the first place at the Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in martial arts among young people.
